Steve brings over a decade of experience as a Travel & Transportation Strategy consultant to his current roles in the IBM Institute for Business Value where he is the Industry Lead for Travel & Transportation.

Steve is responsible for conducting research and developing thought leadership on the future of the Travel &Transportation Industry. He is also dedicated to making sure the insights and opportunities that are identified in the research studies he develops are introduced to IBM’s customers and employees in a thought provoking and compelling manner.

Steve was previously a Senior Strategy Consultant in IBM's Travel & Transportation practice where he served clients across North America and Asia. Steve focused on business strategy, cost reduction, and program management and was responsible for the delivery of several large transformational projects at global airlines, freight logistics providers, and hospitality companies.

Steve earned an MBA from the University of Chicago in 2003.

Brian works as an Airline Segment Leader & Business Development Executive in the IBM Global Travel & Transportation unit. During his 5 years at IBM, he has been engaged in numerous consulting and value-added initiatives at IBM's Strategic Outsourced airline clients. He is currently responsible for developing strategic initiatives and innovative solutions that reduce cost and improve revenues. In addition, he has helped formulate IBM's strategy for the travel & transportation market. He is called upon to provide industry thought leadership.


At IBM, Brian has been involved in numerous airline and GDS activities, leading strategic and operational discussions at the executive level. Before IBM, Brian spent 23 years at Delta Air Lines. He was a senior sales executive working as a GM in domestic and international airport customer service. He oversaw customer service and operational efficiencies of an internal carrier branded Delta Express. He was a negotiator in the creation of the industry-leading SkyTeam Alliance agreement. As Chairman of the Airport Customer Service operations team, he was responsible for all SkyTeam customer facing integration policies.

Other projects:
• Lead a team of industry professionals with their solution offerings to integrated global airlines and international airport owners/operators.
• Negotiated all airline and airport ISV BP contracts and go-to-market strategies.
• SME to teams involved innovative industry solutions. Interfaced with airline management at the CEO/CFO/CIO level.
• Leveraged airline operations in Reservation Call Centers, crew management, M&E, technical operations & operation systems to support proposals.
• Lead CRM initiatives, RFID for Baggage and Cargo reconciliation, Business Transformation Outsourcing, Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) and Passenger Services Systems.


Brian has a BS in Advertising./Marketing from The Univ. of Texas. He is a graduate of the International Management Council, MCC International.

Keith Dierkx has spent 20+ years working in the transportation industry focusing on rail, multi-modal transportation and maritime/terminal operations.  He leads a global team of rail SME's, researchers and developers and is charged with delivering innovative solutions to IBM clients.  He is currently working globally with rail clients on "game-changing" solutions to key challenges - including safety and security, asset management, dynamic optimization/scheduling, and passenger relationship management.


Keith rejoined IBM in 2006 as a Partner in IBM's Global Business Services with responsibility for NA railroads.   Previously he was SVP of Operations for Embarcadero Systems, the IS provider to the largest maritime terminal operator in NA. His team was instrumental in delivering new technology and automation solutions including business process re-engineering, automation solutions and transformation.  


Prior to Embarcadero Systems Corp., Keith was Savi Technology's VP of Strategy & Business Development, and helped grow the company from a venture funded RFID start-up to its acquisition by Lockheed Martin. Savi is currently one of the world's leading providers of supply chain solutions.

 

He spent 14 years with IBM in the 1980's and 1990's working with major US railroads including the Union Pacific, Santa Fe and Southern Pacific. He brought new solutions and capabilities to the railroads driving new solutions through the innovative use of existing technologies and the creation of new solutions.

Tore Wick is the IBM Global Segment Leader for Travel Related Services (comprised of hospitality, car rental, cruise line, casino/gaming travel agency and tour/wholesale) ensuring IBM solutions meet segment specific point points and needs of TRS clients. Tore’s responsibilities include: segment strategy & solution development, ISV selection and management and go-to market enablement. Tore works closely with IBM strategic TRS clients and internal IBM brand teams to execute large deals in assigned segments.

Tore brings 20+ years of travel and transportation industry experience to IBM. Tore worked nearly 10 years for United Airlines, mostly at their Chicago headquarters in various sales and management roles. He was a Market Manager in their Pacific Division overseeing sales, pricing, inventory, scheduling, and GSA management of various Pacific point-of -sale markets. Tore also helped to develop and deploy United's first global corporate volume agreement used today by United to drive share/revenue from Fortune 100 multi-national corporations.

Tore also spent 8+ years at Pegasus Solutions, where he ran their Distribution Services business unit responsible for maximizing hotel ecommerce transactions processed by the Pegasus Ultraswitch between the 4 GDSs/OTAs (Expedia, Orbitz and Priceline, etc.) and all global hotel suppliers such as Marriott, IHG, Hilton, Starwood, etc.

Tore grew up in San Diego and has a BS Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Andy MacIsaac, is a long-time marketing professional at IBM where he has spent many years supporting State, regional and Local government clients from across the globe. As a local government marketing manager he has become a subject matter expert in the areas of transportation, public safety and smarter cities.
