Browser Configuration for Virtual Events
- Click on Tools (on the IE 6 toolbar) -> select Internet Options
- Select Internet Options
- Click the Security tab.
- Select Internet as Web Content Zone
- Click on the Default Level button.
- Click OK.
- Click the Refresh icon on the toolbar and return the event.
- Click on Tools -> select Internet Options
- Click the Security tab
- Click on the Custom Level button
- Configure the categories by following the directions below:
Active X Controls and Plug-ins - Enable Download signed ActiveX, Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins,
and Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting.
Downloads - Enable File Download
Miscellaneous - Set Software Channel to Medium
Scripting - Enable all options in this category
Scripting - Enable all options in this category
Click OK
- Click the Privacy tab
- Click 'Default' and make sure that the slider is set to Medium
- Click the Advanced tab
- Locate the Browsing category and check Disable script debugging
- Uncheck the following options:

Reuse windows for launching shortcuts
- Click Apply
- Select the General tab
Click the Settings button (located in the Temporary Internet Files category)
Click the option marked Every visit to the page
Click OK
Click the Delete Files button (located in the Temporary Internet Files category.)
Click OK to go ahead with the Temporary File deletion (this clears your browser's "cache" of stored files.)
- Click OK to close the Options window and return to your browser
- Click the Refresh icon on the toolbar and return to the event
- Open the Tools menu located on your Firefox toolbar
- Select Options
- Select the Privacy category and do the following:
Open the Cookies menu by clicking the plus next to it
Check the box next to Enable cookies - Select the Web Features category and do the following:
Check the boxes next to Enable Java and Enable JavaScript
Click on the Advanced button and make sure all the boxes are checked
- Click OK
- Click the Reload button/icon on the toolbar and return to the event
- Open the Safari menu located on your Safari toolbar
- Select Preferences
- Click on Security
- Under Web Content check the boxes next to Enable plug-ins, Enable Java and Enable JavaScript
- Under Accept Cookies select "Always"
- Close the preferences window
- Click the Reload button/icon on the toolbar and return to the event

Internet users are probably dialed-in to your ISP using up most or all of the bandwidth. LAN (Local Area Network) users
may experience similar problems as a result of the number of users/PCs on their LAN. Try again when the network is less congested.
Please make sure that you have the correct browser version and that you browser is configured properly. It is extremely
important that you configure your browser correctly.
